KEYES, Jeanette VanHyfte

Jeanette Keyes, 66, RR 4, Veedersburg, died at 2 a.m. Monday, November 21, at her residence.

  Born January 15, 1917 near Portland Arch, she was the daughter of Charles and Rosa Verhey VanHyfte. On June 13, 1936 she married John Francis Keyes in Wingate, who died July 23, 1979.

  A life long resident of Fountain County, she attended school at Rob Roy and Portland Arch and graduated from Covington High School. She had been employed at Meadows Heights Nursing Home in Attica.

  Survivors include a son, Carl Keyes of RR 4, Veedersburg; a stepson, Budgie Keys of Darlington; a brother, John VanHyfte of Attica; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Cooper and Mrs. Woodrow Wolf, both of Attica, and Mrs. Harold Crowder of Covington; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

  Services were conducted Wednesday at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. R. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery near Veedersburg. The family requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Fountain County Heart Fund. -s-
